A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

The EV9 brought Kia's dedicated E-GMP electric architecture to a large family SUV. This page follows the top U.S. launch trim, the 2024 GT-Line AWD—not the later, higher-performance EV9 GT. Two electric motors, a 99.8-kWh battery and three rows made it a different kind of flagship from a petrol luxury SUV.

Look a little closer.

The EV9 can send electricity the other way too: its vehicle-to-load outlet can power compatible devices away from a wall socket.

A flat-floor three-row package

The 122-inch wheelbase is long compared with the EV9's overall length, and the electric platform does not need a conventional engine bay or driveshaft tunnel. The GT-Line uses second-row captain's chairs, creating a six-seat cabin and a path toward the third row.

Fast charging is a system, not a promise

Kia lists about 24 minutes for a 10-to-80-percent charge using a compatible 350-kW-class charger under its test conditions, with a 210-kW peak for the GT-Line. Real charging time changes with battery temperature, starting charge and the charger itself.
