Identity
Individual Ferrari SP12 EC · one-off created for Eric Clapton · Ferrari One-Off Programme · exact chassis not published in the reviewed factory record

Ferrari’s May 24, 2012 release identifies the SP12 EC as the one-off model created for Eric Clapton and describes him as a longtime Ferrari owner. That establishes the individual car and dated ownership context at the unveiling; it does not prove who owns the car in 2026.

The idea came from a specific history rather than a celebrity badge exercise. Ferrari says Clapton had owned three 512 BBs and wanted a car inspired by that model, with influences from the 458 Italia. Centro Stile Ferrari, Pininfarina and Ferrari’s Maranello engineers collaborated on the result within the One-Off Programme. Joyride does not add an unverified chassis, price, engine or transmission specification to Ferrari’s account.

F40org photographed the actual SP12 EC on November 1, 2013 and released the image under CC BY-SA 4.0. The distinctive one-off is shown from the front-left with no registration visible. The photograph records the car’s 2013 presentation; it does not establish unchanged condition, later use or present custody.
