Identity
Tyrrell 003 · individual 1971 Formula One chassis · Stewart competition car · National Museum of Scotland display photograph

Team Tyrrell identifies 003 as the car that debuted with Jackie Stewart at the 1971 Spanish Grand Prix and won at its first attempt. The team’s history records Stewart winning six races in the car during 1971, including the British Grand Prix, on the way to the drivers’ championship while Tyrrell secured the constructors’ title.

Silverstone Museum describes the surviving individual Tyrrell 003 as the 1971 World Championship-winning car and records eight victories from sixteen Grand Prix starts. Formula 1’s official results corroborate Stewart’s Tyrrell wins at Spain and Monaco in 1971 and Argentina and France in 1972; those results name the entrant and driver, while the team and museum sources establish the individual chassis identity.

Joyride records Stewart’s role as a competition association, not personal ownership. The licensed 2012 photograph shows that actual surviving Tyrrell 003 at the National Museum of Scotland in later display condition. Its Commons description called the car Stewart-owned at that date, but that caption is not primary current-title evidence, so no present owner or unchanged race specification is claimed.
