Wuling Air ev Standard Range
Four seats, a tiny footprint and a battery sized for city trips made this locally built EV easy to understand.

More than a set of wheels.
Wuling globally launched the Air ev in Indonesia in August 2022 and built it at Cikarang, West Java. The Standard Range was the smaller-battery member of the first two-variant lineup. Its rear motor, single reduction gear and four-seat cabin were aimed at everyday urban journeys. The quoted 200 km range is Wuling’s claim, not a real-world promise for every trip.
Look a little closer.
The lower-cost Standard Range had a 7-inch instrument screen; the Long Range received the pair of larger 10.25-inch displays.

Same motor, different journeys
Both original versions used a 30 kW motor. Their big difference was stored energy: 17.3 kWh and up to 200 km for Standard Range, versus 26.7 kWh and up to 300 km for Long Range. A bigger battery can hold more energy, but it also changes cost and charging time.

Standard Range included core safety equipment such as dual airbags, ABS, EBD, tyre-pressure monitoring, a pedestrian sound module and ISOFIX. Wuling’s launch briefing reserves ESC, the electric parking brake, auto hold and hill hold for Long Range, so they are not claimed here for the 2022 Standard Range.
