The City Edition name identifies the first 999-vehicle U.S. import batch; Eco distinguishes this configuration from its Plus sibling. The representative dealership photograph illustrates the VF 8 body, not a verified Eco or a documented customer handover.

The first California handover involved 45 vehicles, not all 999 cars in the shipment.

The first American VF 8 was a narrow identity

City Edition was a bounded launch batch, and Eco was one of two trims inside it. The 207-mile label is meaningful precisely because it is not a generic VF 8 number: later battery hardware and range ratings changed, while the Plus in the same shipment already carried a different estimate.

Launch equipment is not a software-availability promise

The launch release advertised assistance and connected services, but the specification sheet adds a practical boundary: some functions could arrive in a later update or require a subscription. Keeping that caveat beside the equipment list prevents an announced capability from becoming a claim that every delivered car already had it.
