A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

The production V8 Vantage followed the 2003 AMV8 concept and entered UK and European customer service in October 2005. It used the DB9's VH architecture in a smaller two-seat package and introduced a new 4.3-litre V8. This profile keeps the first-year engine and six-speed manual separate from the later 4.7-litre car.

Look a little closer.

Aston Martin records the 2005 V8 Vantage as the biggest sales success in the marque's first 107 years.

A compact second act for VH

DB9 introduced the VH architecture; V8 Vantage was the second production Aston to use it. The smaller body and two-seat layout turned that common engineering idea into a more focused sports car rather than a short DB9.

Why the 4.3-litre label matters

The launch engine made 380 bhp and 302 lb-ft. Later VH Vantages grew to 4.7 litres and 420 bhp, so the engine size is part of the profile's identity rather than a small specification footnote.
