Fiat Coupé 2.0 i.e. Turbo 16V
Fiat wrapped a practical four-seat platform in Chris Bangle's startling wedge shape, then gave the launch car a turbo four-cylinder and a viscous front differential to help put 195 hp onto the road.

A matching completed auction sale has not been verified for this exact year, body, trim, engine, transmission and market.
Joyride shows this gap instead of substituting an asking price, unsold bid or mismatched special vehicle.
More than a set of wheels.
Fiat showed its new Coupé at Brussels in 1993 and began production in 1994. The body was created by Fiat's design team, led by Chris Bangle under Ermanno Cressoni, while Pininfarina assembled the car and designed its cabin. Under the unusual bonnet-and-fender shell was Fiat's shared Type 2 platform, but the launch specification was serious: the turbocharged 16-valve Lampredi-family engine drove the front wheels through a five-speed gearbox and Viscodrive coupling. This profile stops before the spring-1996 switch to a five-cylinder 20-valve engine.
Look a little closer.
Fiat called the one-piece bonnet-and-front-wing idea the 'cofango,' blending the Italian words for bonnet and mudguard.

Fiat design outside, Pininfarina craftsmanship inside
Stellantis Heritage credits the exterior to the Fiat Style Centre group led by Chris Bangle and supervised by Ermanno Cressoni. Pininfarina handled assembly and the interior, including the body-colour dashboard strip. That division of work matters because the car is often casually described as wholly Pininfarina-designed.

The 1994 launch Turbo used the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, 16-valve Lampredi-family engine, five speeds and Viscodrive. Fiat replaced that engine in spring 1996 with its five-cylinder 20-valve unit. Keeping the phases separate prevents later 220 hp, 250 km/h and six-speed Turbo Plus facts from leaking into this profile.
