A matching completed auction sale has not been verified for this exact year, body, trim, engine, transmission and market.
Joyride shows this gap instead of substituting an asking price, unsold bid or mismatched special vehicle.
More than a set of wheels.
Kia describes the Sephia as its first fully in-house model, created over 50 months as an independent C-segment sedan. The car launched in 1992 and helped carry Kia into more export markets; a 1994 Korean-market 1.5 DOHC combined a high-revving twin-cam engine with a five-speed manual and front-wheel drive. This packet does not force the GTX badge onto the Korean specification because Kia's heritage page confirms the car and dimensions but not that exact trim label.
Look a little closer.
Kia says engineers spent 50 months developing the Sephia from the ground up rather than relying on an overseas platform.
Photos show an example of the model or generation. The pictured vehicle’s year, equipment, or modifications can differ from the specification described here.
Why 'first in-house' mattered
Kia had already built passenger cars through partnerships, but the Sephia's body design and engineering were completed with domestic technology. It became a statement that the company could define a whole compact car rather than only assemble someone else's plan.

A vehicle can have the correct body and engine yet still be mislabeled if a trim name came from another country. Current sources clearly establish the Korean 1.5 DOHC mechanical package, but not an official Korean GTX badge, so the profile keeps that uncertainty visible.
