Research pending
A matching completed auction sale has not been verified for this exact year, body, trim, engine, transmission and market.
Joyride shows this gap instead of substituting an asking price, unsold bid or mismatched special vehicle.
More than a set of wheels.
The CC8S turned Koenigsegg from a show-car project into a production manufacturer. A pre-production car appeared in Paris in 2000, followed by six production examples built during 2002–03. This page uses 2002 as the start of that production series and keeps the earlier display car and later CCR outside the identity boundary.
Look a little closer.
The detachable carbon-fibre roof was designed to be stored aboard the car, while the dihedral doors turned access into a defining Koenigsegg signature.

Ford architecture, Koenigsegg engineering
Calling the CC8S engine Ford-based is accurate but incomplete. Koenigsegg retained the modular architecture while reworking the internals, lubrication, induction and control systems for its own output and packaging goals. The result belongs to the small Swedish maker’s engineering story as much as to the donor layout.

Only six CC8S examples were built, yet the production model established enduring Koenigsegg cues. The removable roof could be stored aboard the car, and the unusual doors made access and theatre part of the same design solution. Small volume did not mean a temporary identity.
