More than a set of wheels.
Polestar revealed the 2 on February 27, 2019 and began production in Luqiao, China, on March 24, 2020. The first-year Launch Edition used dual motors and a 78 kWh battery. It was sold in ten launch markets, with European deliveries planned first, followed by China and North America.
Look a little closer.
The Polestar 2 was the first production car announced with Google's Android system built in, so Google Maps and Assistant worked without plugging in a phone.

Target range and production range are different
At the 2019 reveal, Polestar targeted 500 km on the WLTP cycle. By the 2020 production start, it published 470 km WLTP. Joyride uses the later production figure because this page describes the customer Launch Edition, not the earlier target.

The 11-inch center display ran Android Automotive OS with Google services built in. That let navigation talk directly to vehicle systems and made software updates a bigger part of ownership than in most 2020 cars.
