Ford Mustang Mach-E

The Mustang Mach-E Premium turned the Mustang idea into a quiet five-door electric crossover. This exact profile uses the larger Extended Range battery and a motor at each axle, because a 2021 Premium AWD could otherwise mean more than one battery specification.

A matching completed auction sale has not been verified for this exact year, body, trim, engine, transmission and market.

Joyride shows this gap instead of substituting an asking price, unsold bid or mismatched special vehicle.

A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

Ford gave the Mach-E the Mustang name, long hood and galloping-horse badge, but built it around a flat battery and useful family cabin. The Premium Extended Range eAWD combined 346 horsepower with all-wheel traction, five seats, a front luggage compartment and a large hatchback cargo area. It was a different kind of Mustang rather than an electric copy of the two-door coupe.

Look a little closer.

With no gasoline engine under the hood, Ford shaped the empty space into a washable 4.8-cubic-foot front trunk—often called a frunk.

Why the battery name matters

Premium eAWD was offered with different battery choices, so this profile is narrowed to the Extended Range car. Ford's December 2020 sheet lists an 88 kWh usable battery, 346 hp, 428 lb-ft and a manufacturer-calculated 4.8-second 0–60 mph time for that configuration. Earlier preliminary documents contain lower target figures, so Joyride uses the later model-year sheet for propulsion output.

Range numbers need their label

Ford's late-2020 technical sheet called 270 miles a targeted EPA range for the Premium Extended Range eAWD, not a completed independent road test. Real distance changes with temperature, speed, tires, accessories and charging habits. This packet preserves the word targeted rather than silently upgrading the claim to a certified result.

Useful space around the skateboard

The underfloor battery helped make room for 29.0 cubic feet of cargo behind the rear seats, 59.6 cubic feet behind the front seats and another 4.8 cubic feet under the hood. Ford listed a 117-inch wheelbase and 186-inch overall length, proportions that gave the cabin room without making the car enormous.
