A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

Honda released the redesigned Civic Sedan to U.S. dealers on 16 June 2021 as a 2022 model. This page keeps to the entry LX sedan: its naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine, M-CVT, 16-inch covered wheels and front-wheel drive. It does not borrow the turbo engine, paddle shifters or extra equipment of higher trims, and it omits the queued FE2 code because Honda's reviewed U.S. launch records do not confirm that metadata.

Look a little closer.

The cover shows an exact 2022 North American Civic LX sedan, including the LX wheel covers. The photograph establishes the visible trim, body and market identity, but it is not used as proof of the hidden engine, transmission or chassis code.

A simple base engine that still uses clever timing

The LX engine is naturally aspirated, so it does not use an exhaust-driven turbocharger. Dual overhead camshafts and i-VTEC vary how the valves work, while multi-point injection meters fuel. Honda paired it with the M-CVT rather than fixed ratios; the result is the exact 158-hp base powertrain, not the 1.5-litre turbo fitted to EX and Touring models.

Driver assistance supports rather than replaces the driver

Honda made its Honda Sensing suite standard on the LX. The listed systems can warn, brake, guide lane position and help manage following distance, but they remain assistance features. The driver must still watch the road and control the car; this profile also avoids assigning blind-spot monitoring to an LX when Honda did not list it for that trim.
