A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

Rivian worked with Amazon drivers to design a van for repeated stops, package handling and narrow streets. Official customer deliveries began in more than a dozen U.S. cities in July 2022. The EDV 700 was the larger launch van; its name described a roughly 700-cubic-foot cargo class.

Look a little closer.

The door between the driver and the parcels opens automatically when the driver shifts into Park.

Every stop starts with a door

The EDV 700 has a rear roll-up loading door and a sliding curb-side exit. Its tall roof creates a path through the van, and an automatic bulkhead door separates the driver area from the packages. These details make repeated delivery movements easier to organize.

Comfort without warming the whole van

Rivian included a heated and cooled driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel and a heated folding jump seat. Warming the parts that touch people can use less energy than heating all the surrounding air. The company also integrated Amazon’s route software into the vehicle interface.
