Reveal the auction result
Based on a completed sale at Bring a Trailer, an estimated value for this vehicle is $69,000.
Why this sale: Exact 2022 U.S.-market R1S Launch Edition with Quad-Motor all-wheel drive, Large 135-kWh battery pack and seven-seat cabin. 6k miles, one owner and clean Carfax. Launch Green paint, All-Terrain Upgrade, 22-inch wheels and a spare tyre were fitted; a lien required payoff before title transfer.
Winning bid/hammer; Bring a Trailer's 5% buyer service fee, taxes, title and transport are excluded. One auction result is a reference, not an appraisal; condition, history, options, location and market timing can change value. Accepted as an identity-exact completed sale. Low mileage, Launch Green paint and option specification may elevate value.
More than a set of wheels.
Rivian began ramping R1S production and deliveries during 2022. The Launch Edition was the first customer configuration: a three-row, seven-seat electric SUV with the original Quad-Motor system and Large battery pack. This record excludes later Dual-, Tri- and second-generation Quad-Motor versions.
Look a little closer.
The front trunk has a drain valve, so Rivian says owners can rinse it out after muddy or messy cargo.

Four motors worked like four very fast helpers
The front pair produced 415 hp and the rear pair 420 hp in Rivian's original system description. Because every wheel had its own motor, the software could help accelerate, slow or turn the vehicle at each corner instead of waiting for a mechanical differential to share torque.

Rivian placed motors, battery and suspension low in its platform, leaving room for seven people, a front trunk and 17.6 cubic feet behind the third row. Second- and third-row seats can fold so the passenger compartment becomes a long cargo floor.
