A matching completed auction sale has not been verified for this exact year, body, trim, engine, transmission and market.

A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

The new Panda went on sale in mainland Europe in September 2003. Fiat exhibited four 1.2 8-valve cars at Frankfurt that year. The 1.2 Dynamic identity is separately supported by a 2003 Spanish derivative catalogue. The detailed UK launch release describes the same engine family but dates to January 2004; its equipment and quoted performance remain labelled by market. Look a little closer.

Before launch the new car was previewed as Gingo; Fiat revived the familiar Panda name after a naming concern.

A city-car shape with MPV priorities

Height, a raised gear lever and extra parking assistance worked together. The engineering lesson is that everyday usability comes from packaging and controls, not just engine output.

One family, several launch markets

Mainland 2003 and UK January 2004 are distinct launches. Engine-family descriptions help explain the mechanism; equipment lists cannot be moved between markets without evidence. The UK photograph is representative only.
