Research pending

A matching completed auction sale has not been verified for this exact year, body, trim, engine, transmission and market.

Joyride shows this gap instead of substituting an asking price, unsold bid or mismatched special vehicle.

A place in vehicle history

More than a set of wheels.

The Cappuccino’s roof could be configured as a hardtop, T-bar, targa or fully open car. Underneath, it was unusually serious for its size: a longitudinal turbo three-cylinder, five-speed manual, rear-wheel drive, double wishbones at both ends and four-wheel disc brakes.

Look a little closer.

The roof can be used as a closed coupe, a T-top or a fully open roadster by removing and storing its panels.

Photos show an example of the model or generation. The pictured vehicle’s year, equipment, or modifications can differ from the specification described here.

One roof, four distinct configurations

Suzuki designed the removable roof sections to create a closed hardtop, a T-bar, a targa or a fully open roadster. That versatility was structural rather than cosmetic and Suzuki describes it as a world first among mass-production cars.

Small did not mean mechanically simple

Double wishbones at both ends, rear-wheel drive and disc brakes on all four wheels are sports-car choices. Combined with a 700 kg body, they explain why chassis balance mattered as much as the kei-class 64 PS ceiling.

Options must not become standard equipment

The GAZOO catalogue identifies both ABS and the limited-slip differential as optional. A restored or well-optioned car can therefore overstate the base launch specification if imagery is treated as a specification sheet.
